It appears that my ecodiesel drain line drips from above the transmission somewhere. Living in South Florida, the a/c runs daily. I don't want the top of the transmission to always be covered in water.

Is this normal or should there be a drain line routed down and around the transmission?

Thanks for your help!

Here is a pic of the constant a/c drip from the wire loom.

Any change you can post a pic of it? I am wondering if it a small pipe that just slightly protrudes out from the firewall allowing it to drip where ever it wants? Maybe I can divert it by attaching additional tubing?

Right now in a heavy down pour till tomorrow night. Yes that's the tube you can extend it need be. We use to do it in XJs all the time cause it would rot the frames.

Yours but not his....

On our XJ and YJ we added a 2" piece of copper tube with 2 clamps. Then ran the hose down away from frame.

on our 55 Willys 2dr Wagon we did same but we added AC amd could access the main nipple to run a full hose.

This would be the least of my concerns…

Finally got around to looking for the A/C drain line. This photo is looking up from the passenger side. It is located directly above the transmission. I was hoping for a round hose (for an easy hose clamp setup), but this appears to be a long oval.

I’m still trying to find this drain on my ecodiesel gladiator. There are some exhaust pipes in the way.

Did you ever figure out how to actually clean this drain?

I looked up from my passenger side through the exhaust with a light, and I can see mine (JLURD) upon on the silver heat shielding on the body around the transmission tunnel. Looks just like the picture above. Give where it is, and whats in the way, and its shape, I don't see any way to do a drain hose extension like I have done on most of my other cars. That said it doesn’t seem to be dripping on anything that will rust etc, so it may not be a problem. My V8 4Runner the AC dripped on the frame rail and many of them rusted out as a result.

I'm sure one of the wizards,
would be able to 3D print a small attachment to fit into this oval (or around the outside) with a 1/4 to 1/2" round exit so someone can attach an extension hose to it.

Food for thought...

I have an Ecodiesel Gladiator and I cannot for the life of me find that drain. I even tried using a boroscope. My passenger footwell is constantly full of water. It's driving me crazy. I don't know how to fix it.
