If you’ve never dragged your body on obstacles AND you want bigger tires, then bigger fenders is almost always the right call.

The only exception to this I can think of is needing increased payload. I can find any stiffer replacement coils without a minimum 1” lift (from Synergy).

Also depends in which brand. Patagonia 33, are about 32.3" for real.
BFGoodrich 33 are about 31.9".
Also makes a difference.

If you have Rubicon, you already have more clearance. I am thinking of changing to Rubicon fenders before a lift. Not sure yet!
Ya was looking at KO2s (32.8 in)that’s barley bigger than the stock Sahara Dulers at 32.1.

I considered rubicon fenders as well. Pretty cheap option to gain some room to flex.

I Feel like I may regret the 33s..

Maybe, but look at the difference in appearance between the KO2s and the Deulers (17" wheels too)...

Here's a comparison shot - this was midway through installing the Rubicon suspension and wheel/tire combo on my base Sport. Between the suspension and tires it grew about 2.5".

So after two years I've finally worn out my stock 245/75/r17 tires. Covid-19 sort of our everything on hold, so I hadn't been driving as much this year.

2019 JLU Sport S, Rubicon suspension on Goodyear LT285/70R17 Tire, Wrangler Duratrac D rated. 33" is as large a tire as I want for now.

I can't wait to go running around in this last week of warmth before Wisconsin winter sets in...

Just got a RC 2 1/2" lift and 1.5" spacers to move the stock wheels out a bit. Came out good and didn't break the bank.

OMG. Here we are, on the EVE of what's promising to be a crazy day, and all I can think about is how thrilled I am to have spent money on a lot of rubber today...

I can't help it. Whatever happens next. I'm ready.

What are the wires from the hood latches to the windshield for?

Those are branch risers. Branches hit them and then are lifted up over the a-pillar. The CB antenna is on a coil spring, it just bends backwards. Honestly, I only have it in case I get really stuck somewhere, someday.

Still very happy to be rolling on 33" Duratracs. Snow is starting to finally fall here in Wisconsin. I'm banking on all the snow performance reviews I've read on various sites regarding this particular tire.
