Get your lift installed??
Nope. It’s making me crazy. Was down a couple days with the ‘rona, couple weekends of rain, couple of holiday weekends and I’ve got the grandkids this weekend. Next weekend is on the radar, but I won’t hold my breath.

I'm now leaning towards a lift from Rusty Off-road vs others I mentioned initially. Lift seems very well built and includes many components.

Finally a free day! Lift is going in today. If anyone wants any specific measurements or pics, now’s the time to ask. I plan to do before and after spring height, actual ride height, caster and anything else I may think of along the way.

Someone please tell me what’s wrong here. Finished installing my lift a while ago. It’s supposed to be 2.5” true dual. I went from 40” ground to fender to about 45”. Springs are seated correctly in the bottom factory insulators. I used the Metalcloak tall upper isolator on the right side, short one on the left and rear isolator on the right. P/N on the box is correct, but something is clearly not right.

Drove around the block and lost about 1/2”. Still higher than I want it to be. Actually higher than the vertically challenged wife wants it to be.

45? I’m at 45 with a 3.5 and 37s.

Is that spring bowed or is it the camera angle? You said box had proper part number, do springs have part numbers?

It’s slightly bowed, camera angle makes it look really bad. Springs do have part numbers, but they aren’t even close. 8-10 digit number vs. 4 digit on the box.

Maybe those numbers can be translated by someone. You may have 3.5 instead of 2.5. I remember a discussion on here earlier that stated 2.5 and 3.5 were same length but 3.5 had more wraps at top or something like that 🤷‍♂️ @Roky was part of that discussion if I remember correctly.

edit - here is thread I was thinking about

Yep, I can see how easy it would be to get the wrong springs based on how they differentiate between them. I mean the 2.5 and 3.5 are virtually the same length. Not at all saying you got the wrong ones, but best to confirm with MC…….here’s my question to MC, and their reply………

Hey Jon, got a question.... you guys use the same rock sport shock for both 2.5 and 3.5”lifts, right? If so which lift are they set for. In other words, if they’re set up for the 3.5 then when used on the 2.5 they’re slightly compressed, but if they’re set for the 2.5 then when used for the 3.5 they’d be slightly extended. Which way is it, or am I not thinking right ? Thanks ...... sorry op for derailment.
With the coil lengths being right about identical the shocks are really made for both. It is one of the advantages of the Dual-Rate design. We can go up or down in height without having to change the length of the coil

The 3.5 springs I got were the letters “ss” plus four digits. Can be seen here if you zoom in.

I was measuring to bottom of fender to get 45, but that still only puts me 2” taller and most of that would be tire.
