Running boards, side steps, rock rails, etc ... do not match from JK to JL. Bolt holes don't line up according to what I've read. There are several JL-specific options out there though.

Drive shaft interchangeability? I noticed that MetalCloak has the same part number for their 2012 and up JK front DS as their JL front DS. Does this mean the Teraflex JK high angle Rzeppa will work on the JL? I do have an old 2 door JK front DS, so I could check, but I'm too busy typing right now...

I was wondering about the wheels. I run 15" rims on my JK. They're a tight fit around the brake calipers, but they do fit. Are the JL brakes bigger?

I guess I'll have to test that out when I take delivery.

Brakes are bigger on the Rubicon and Sahara. I don’t think you can run smaller than a 17” rim on either of them.

Like any parking brake, it's adequate for restraining a stationary vehicle that's not running with the transmission in Park (auto) or in gear (manual).

If you’re looking at saving a buck because you can get a deal on JK spacers, pass and get ones already made for the JL.

If you already have a set for a JK, you could potentially make it work if you got the correct metric nuts to install the spacers on the axle along with a set of SAE lug nuts to go on the spidertrax wheel studs.

Truth is, whether you have a set or not, suck it up and buy the correct ones for you vehicle.

Not even in the same state. There’s no way to easily make a rear JK bumper on JL.

I had measured it at one time, but forget the exact numbers. The JK I think was around 46-47 (or something like) wide while the JL was more like 38-40 wide (or something like that).

TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) Sensors on a JL are the same part # as a 2010-18 JK

I had a '12JK. I put the '18 JL steel wheels on the '12 to sell that unit. Not compatible, the frequencies are different. Don't remember what year they changed. Your auto parts man will know.
