I’m guessing it’s matte PPF wrapped around the whole Jeep.

Or a satin paint job, most frequently they are wraps though because a satin spray finish is hard to apply perfectly and there is no sanding and buffing like a clear coat.

My Fiat 124 Spider has the entire center of the car painted —not wrapped— in the satin black “Heritage Stripe." It is fairly easy to maintain: wash the car, dry it and apply some Klasse paint sealant twice a year. That’s it. I don't wax it; wax tends to create buildup.

Having said that, the car is garaged and normally doesn’t see snow or dirt trails.

The JK with the kayaks is... well... not worth of a SEMA display. It looks like someone threw a JC Whitney and hit the jeep with every page. Seriously, an emperor zorg grill. And what is that third story above the kayaks? Plus it's rolling on highway tread, not the image that is synonymous with Jeep. The diff cover isn't changed, that tells me the "builder" was not concerned about real performance. Just throw everything we can at it and Jeepers will think it's cool - FAIL.

But that is just my opinion.
