Is it just me or stock JKs look absolutely disgusting now that you're used to how the JL looks.. proportions and everything seems off on the JK (stock)...
Well that JK is about as bare bones as you can get. Throw some 37's on it and it would look a whole lot better, of course that's a rabbit hole of other mods to get there on a JK sport.

I'm certainly not a fan of the sloping hood and grille on the JK. I think the JK is the only Jeep (CJ/Wrangler) ever made without a center bulge in the hood. I much prefer the JL approach where the hood is mostly horizontal and the grille is mostly vertical, and they taper near the point where they meet. I don't mind the flat doors on the JK; older jeeps typically had flat doors because they were just thin metal or fiberglass, or fabric!

Not disgusting, but...IMO, the redesign effort that produced the JK was kind of phoned in. This is plainly evident when contemplating the overall aesthetic of the JL, which was a home run.

Look at the post preceding yours, where a TJ is next to a JLU. Both vehicles look correct, in their own way. In some ways, the TJ has the edge as it concerns historic provenance, without the JLU having to give up anything on its own, either.

Parked next to my soon-to-be-sold-JK, but too cool not to share...

I don't know what it is about this particular dump of a grocery store in the Valley, but I ran into SO many cool Jeeps there late at night over the years.

Another time, I found this gem, though I don't think it counts because I'm parked a few cars down, but still...
