Took the short cut home last night. A long dirt rode that turned into an icy swamp yesterday. There were a couple of hairy moments where I asked myself what the hell was I thinking. I woke up to a Jeep that was a frozen mud ball
Went up to our property near Breckenridge last weekend. It's located at about 11000ft. Not a ton of snow on our road but plenty of it on others. Made for a fun time.
This is deep snow for Ventura Cty, Ca. (5,200 ft.). I prefer this in retirement, haha. I don't ski anymore.
I once lived a full year at the base of Alpine Medows Ski Resort in the condos(6,800 ft) in Alpine Meadows, Ca. A record season snowfall total during 2018/19 was over 50 feet. 25 feet was the norm back in the 1970's when I lived around Tahoe City,Ca. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpine_Meadows_(ski_resort)
