Very nice! Thanks.

Might want to change the thread title to "Jeep Wrangler JL Hood Lock Installation." Most of us on this side of the globe think bonnets are worn on the head (mostly by women and/or children in the olden days).

I am guessing it's a Bolt lock because it has the re-key function? Hopefully we hear more of this soon.

The video is very interesting. Suggests that Bolt has actually produced the Hood Lock. Could it be that Bolt has introduced the Hood Lock outside of the U.S., but not in its home country?

Maybe it's not design issues between FCA and Bolt. Maybe Licensing/Royalty/Distribution issues, which can be harder to solve, if both parties aren't on the same page.

Either way, it is we Wrangler owners who are stuck in the middle.

FCA and Bolt need to consider that their customers and prospects aren't getting the products they are willing to buy! At some point we will start looking at alternative solutions!

Thanks, will do . Just did $ 214 Canadian ! I think a lot of that is the pre-molded Grill replacement part. I would like ke just the lock, could "hot knife" the grill opening...

I've seen this on eBay for for as cheap as $164. One thing I don't like about the ones on eBay and Amazon is that they come with their own key and don't appear to be able to get re-keyed with the ignition key.
