There's nothing wrong with the stock battery even with a winch and added lights. I'd run it for a couple years as you won't see any benefit from changing it out.
😂😂 a couple of years on a Jeep battery…

2 JLs and a JT, 150k miles between the 3...1 battery replacement. All 3 had winches that got used hard. Not sure what you guys are doing to your batteries, but it's like the visor failures in my opinion. Mostly user error...

Just switched my stock battery’s 2 days ago.. 4 years and 65k miles. I used diehard platinum for both.
  • DieHard Platinum AGM Lead Acid Battery, Group H7 850 CCA
  • DieHard Platinum AGM Battery, BCI Group Size 400, 200 CCA
    Part # AUX14-1

I would run stock battery and if it craps out before 2 years 24000 miles jeep will replace it. Usually a bad battery from the manufacturer will fail pretty early. make sure when you use your winch you keep your jeep running.

Maybe OP can provide more details of the setup and why a new main with a few more CCAs might be of benefit.

I am still running stock batteries in my 2018 jl. 7 years and going strong. I do use a noco battery smart tender every time I pull into my garage

Battery life is a function of many things. Parasitic drain has a lot to do with it. I still have the OEM in my 21. I made the mistake of letting it sit in my garage while I was out of town for 3 weeks a few months back without putting it on the NOCO to maintain it. The battery was mostly dead when I got home, and I've been getting the AUX Switch warning on startup ever since. (Putting in a new battery later this week.)

In contrast, the Jeep is the first vehicle I've ever owned in over 40 years that I didn't get at least 5 years out of a battery. In fact, I just changed the battery in my wife's 2014 CR-V. It was the ORIGINAL battery! 130,000 miles without ever being on a battery tender, even when it sat for weeks at a time! No parasitic drain there.

Agree with many posts here about charging your battery whenever possible due to constant parasitic draw of onboard electronics in modern cars. My JK used to kill its battery all the time until I moved the key fob out of the vehicle because it was in constant electronic communication with the Jeep door locks and remote start 24-7. I also keep the top of my battery as clean as a whistle to minimize arcing across the terminals. Dead batteries are your worst nightmare and can be so easily avoided with just a little care. Big believer in maximum CCA possible and replacing batteries at the first sign of trouble.
