I disagree that 25 miles range of all electric on a big/heavy extremely non aerodynamic SUV is bad...

Audi Q5 PHEV - 20 miles
Lincoln Aviator - 13-15 miles
Lincoln corsair - 25 miles
Mitsubishi outlander - 22 miles
Porsche Cayenne - 13 miles
Subaru crosstrek - 17 miles
volvo XC90 - 18 miles

I could go on and on, a lot of the cars get similar numbers or less... not many go higher than 25/30, as that is not what the point is.

The Rubicon is also pushing 2.5 tons.

Yea, the 2021 base 4 door Sport starts at $33,290. I am guessing the base Sport 4XE will be around $41,000 to start with no options.

The only thing about this I dislike is FCA and advanced engine technology, wouldn't want to be the first guy in line. With how they seem to handle locker and steering issues it will be 3 model years before they finally get around to fixing the first year bugs...

Otherwise, pretty impressive specs and sounds like it could be a hell of a lot of fun. Going to be expensive.

Seriously. For a model as unique and iconic as Wagoneer, they sure trotted out a generic looking SUV. Seems like a real missed opportunity to do something cool - Instead we've got a Range Rover clone.

Love it. It’s a step in the right direction, not the end/final result. This version doesn’t make sense for me but the release finally means they’ve started the journey with EV. I can completely see me buying one 5-6 years from now.

Yeah, if I was in the same situation now as I was when buying the 2018 JLUR I'd go for this PHEV in a heart beat.

Simply because I could get to work on all E, plug in at work for free, then get home on all E.

Agree. Seems like Jeep special models are a bit “flashy”. I wouldn’t buy the Recon solely for that reason. But to each, their own.
