So you are saying the pedal is really stiff and has no play as if you pumped it several times?
Exactly!Yes that is exactly what he is saying.

If you're suggesting that a bigger butt is needed, I won't have a problem!Just a guess, but it sounds like the sensor in the seat isn't detecting that you are sitting there...it won't start if you aren't in the seat. Or, and now that I think about it, this is more likely, the sensor isn't detecting that the brake is pressed. What you are describing is what happens when you press the button with no brake depressed.
I saw your issue in your other post.I have been having push-to-start failure issues as well. Service department told me yesterday this is a problem that Chrysler is aware of, but they have no fix for it as of yet. JeepCares Resolution Department representative confirmed this as well when I talked with her this morning. She said they are aware of it and are trying to find a way to fix it, but nothing yet. So for now, we can try making sure the FOB is not in a pocket & not near a cell phone, and you can try putting the FOB right next to the start button. It's absurd that any new car owner should have to go through these gyrations to start their vehicle. Mine also goes into ACC mode instead of turning off sometimes...
I'm glad you were able to resolve yours! I find that when my brake pedal goes to the floor with little resistance mine won't start. There's definitely a different feel when it's not starting.I saw your issue in your other post.
Fortunately, mine was needing to press the brake pedal harder after it sat for a while so to trigger the sensor. Your electrical issues seem quite a bit more involved.
Yea mine is sort of the feeling if you shut the Jeep off completely, then pump the brakes like 8x how the pedal gets really stiff. It does this when you leave it for about 16+ hours so just takes a little more effort on the pedal.I'm glad you were able to resolve yours! Wait, your brake pedal goes to the floor with little resistance? That sounds like a serious brake problem. I don’t think I’d be driving it until it’s fixed.I'm glad you were able to resolve yours! Scratch that. Problem still exists. And as others have said, it specifically shows up after the car sits overnight. Push the start button, and it does not start the vehicle (only turns in the radio). After 2-3 more attempts, evtnaully vehicle starts. So I thought I had this issue. Apparently just needed to press the brake harder and hold the button longer. It seems to have solved the problem.
