I would do it cause it is free.So with my new Jeep I get 4 free oil changes and tire rotations for a 2 year period. At most I’ll put 5K per year on the Jeep. Should I just schedule to have this maintenance done every 6 months so is that overkill?
Please update your profile - there is no such thing as a "2020 JKUR".So with my new Jeep I get 4 free oil changes and tire rotations for a 2 year period. At most I’ll put 5K per year on the Jeep. Should I just schedule to have this maintenance done every 6 months so is that overkill?
I change my own but never reset UCconnect... is this necessary?Pull F11 & F97 to reset UConnect
Not sure why anyone would pull fuses...I change my own but never reset UCconnect... is this necessary?
No. Just a tidbit I put in my notes for when it (inevitably) flakes out and needs a reboot.I change my own but never reset UCconnect... is this necessary?
Correct. I just had that as a note to myself. It’s not part of my maintenance routine. (Actually I have a Tazer and use that for reboots when needed, but just kept the fuse info in my notes in case.)Not sure why anyone would pull fuses...
You just go into the “vehicle information” screen, scroll over to oil change reset and hold down the “okay” button on the steering wheel.
So it's kinda like the change to/from Daylight Savings, when you're supposed to change the smoke detector batteries. You don't have to, but you do anyways.No. Just a tidbit I put in my notes for when it (inevitably) flakes out and needs a reboot.
I wish I only had to reboot it twice a year. In reality, I lose my backup lines or the volume decides it will only put out 1/2 power every several weeks. I use my Tazer to do a full reboot and all is well. Pulling those fuses also works, but then you lose your color scheme and stuff and have to set it back up which is more annoying than no backup lines. So it's kinda like the change to/from Daylight Savings, when you're supposed to change the smoke detector batteries.
