i went from a 2005 GTO 6spd to a wrangler 3.6 6sp soft top. loved the soft top, beach driving, and door less driving. However comin from the GTO i missed the sound and feel of the LS2. I really disliked the clutch and gearing. Some things changed, and i was able to order a brand new Punkin Rubi xr 2.0 which i have had an absolute blast with. it definitely feels more peppy then the v6. Living in virginia not sure how much wheeling ill do, but, itll definitely be my road trip ride, and taken to the beach, which i am perfectly fine with.

We're on #7. Got my first in 1962; had a F-Head Hurricane motor (more of a soft breeze). Love my JL 2-door. There is nothing I'd rather drive. "Never had a problem I didn't cause".
Pretty much covers it.

Being in my first Wrangler and 3rd Jeep. The XR Wrangler convinced me that this is the way to go. full-stop it was beefy, unstoppable and the V6 burly from the shortened exhaust was addicting.

From the first day its Bright Punk’N self arrived on the back of the truck, I’ve been in love. First time I popped the sunrider Top back and felt the wind blowing, I was hooked, went to my first Jeep Beach, drove my Jeep Beach in Daytona, left the doors and roof off for over 25 days last year. Never said that about a car ever. I drive it in manual just to force the V6 to pop and crackle on the over-run. Right between 2,000-2,400 RPM’s it has this beautiful tenor/baritone noise that isn’t heard on other V6 equipped Wranglers. The Jeep Waves, the community, the Ducks and overall enthusiasm is our little Niche of the automotive sphere that I’m proud to be part of our community!

3-Jeeps and none have ever been in the shop for a major repair. All have been flawless on roadtrips/Inclement Weather/off-road/

Here is my dose of positivity... I didn't expect a 2-door Jeep to be a good road trip vehicle, but it has surprised me. It's not the greatest with the short wheelbase, but we do enjoy driving it to various national parks. We are planning a road trip to Utah (Moab and 5 national parks) for later this year.

At the age of 10 or 11, the first vehicle I learned to drive was the ‘41 Willys pictured below whose cruising speed was 30-45. Dad had to wire blocks to the pedals for me to reach until I grew a bit. I drove that old gal all over the local northern NM mountains – summer and winter. It never had a top – open Jeep all the way all day. I loved that ‘41 and still tell stories about it.

At 16, my wife's daily driver was the Willys shown in this next picture - a year or two later model than the ‘41.

60 years later we are driving our 2018 JLUR with a manual transmission and loving it. We moved from NM to MO several years ago and we are so pleased that we can jump in Black Bart and make the 13hr, 750 mile drive back to our home town, where we still own property, and hit the same trails we drove the old Jeeps.

Our last trip back to NM in October, I decided not to take my bicycle because winter was starting to announce itself. I asked my wife if we should just take her car – she said “No! I want to take Bart so we can go in the mountains in the snow!” Jeep is in our Blood, and we love them!

I have had many higher end vehicles in my life, AMGs, BMW Ms, Audi RS and I like my Jeep more than any of the 25+ vehicles I have owned. There is nothing it won't do. Two weeks ago, I completed 4 BOH trails, aired back up and raced a GT at a stop light almost as soon as I got back on the street. It just leaves me shaking my head and saying...this shouldn't be possible.

We actually purchased 2 in a 3 month period.

After 53,000 miles, I'm impressed that there's only bene very minor issues (mostly self inflicted) and that after every off-road trip, that I can jump on the highway and it rides just fine. At 4.5 years, it's still been a total pleasure to own.

We actually love the state of OK and spent a lot of time there.

Well doubt it will even see a dirt road. Pretty much an asphalt queen. We have some friends that off road a lot. But with the price of these we won’t be. I have a Ram 4 that
