Bro I guess I have to move to MichiganOur local Jeep club does so much stuff you can't possibly do it all. They do BBQs, almost weekly wheeling trips and camping trips, Bonfires, work on each others Jeeps, plan out of state wheeling trips, have euchre ornaments, meets at local restaurants, jeep parades, meets at local ice cream places, do fund raisers and just generally enjoy each others company. They are always helpful. If you were to post hey, I need help doing something to your Jeep, you would probably have 5+ people respond to help at least with others saying if you need me give me a call as 5 should be able to handle it. They open their homes up for house parties. Some of the biggest problems that we have is if you post a day of Jeeping, you may have to limit the participation because you will get 50+ jeeps showing up if you don't. There is always people that will volunteer to take new jeepers out on the trail. Then talk about trail runs. Everyone brings a ton of food and everyone shares stuff. Then sharing..... need a tool or help out on the trail, people are stepping forward. Heck we had one guy get a flat on a 40 inch tire that was not repairable and no spare, before you know it people are pulling thier 37 spares off and he is running 37s for the day so he can wheel.
And that is why jeep people are so cool. Buying a Jeep is like getting 500 new friends.
Just know that the wheeling in Michigan is primarily flat sandy trails and not very challenging. I would imagion the trails in Penn. are much more fun. You could wheel 90% of our trails with a 1984 Ford Escort on bald tires......Bro I guess I have to move to Michigan
Maybe us Ohioans will have to meet up somewhere and make that happen.I’ve owned many cars. Never part of a community till my Jeep. Hoping to get my barbecue after covid.
Hmmm, not sure why it wouldn't play, I don't have FB either. Although I view the forum on a desktop no mobile device. Maybe that's it?The videos wouldn't play for me (I guess because I don't have facebook?)...
Wish it was like that here "Dead" or just very not in he know. Last year I saw a bunch of jeeps driving on the highway near me. I thought it was hilarious because they even had little Toyota Corolas and Honda Civics with them who had also taken off their doors. Our local Jeep club does so much stuff you can't possibly do it all. Low drama Great people are what make the club can go wheelin anywhere good people are tough to findJust know that the wheeling in Michigan is primarily flat sandy trails and not very challenging. But the Lansing Area Jeep Club is cool. Low drama and great people.
This video is awesome! He explains it very well but made me laugh! Funny thing is, I rarely let my husband drive my Wrangler because he, too, thinks the wave is dumb. He just does not get it. The few times he has driven my Wrangler and did not wave when an oncoming Wrangler waved, hell if I didn’t wave from the passenger side. That is a big no no and exactly why the hell he doesn’t drive my Wrangler!OMG I love this video about Jeep People, and it is SOOO true. This is my absolute favorite about the Jeep Wave; many of you have seen it I'm sure, but for anyone who has not...it's a must!!
It would be awesome to have a Jeep meet post COVID. I had all kinds of plans to do some fun stuff this summer but the rona has other ideas.Maybe us Ohioans will have to meet up somewhere and make that happen.
