I thought financing a vehicle was something you did in your 20s and maybe early 30s. Not trying to be to be a jerk, but I was raised to realize at some point you have to figure out life and live within your means.

When you live in a place like Vancouver, BC, where a small condo costs you $400K and up, there is no "living within your means". You budget. And my new Jeep was budgeted in.

Cash isn’t always the “smartest” move. Use your cash on hand for a return and finance at a low rate. I’m surprised at the amount of people who don’t understand this.

Exactly Got 1.25% for 48 months. Used available cash to invest. I'm making well over that on safe investments. Will use profit to pay off early or use it for an emergency if needed.

My mouth was wide-open when I read this on a popular facebook JL group: "I am waiting for my tax return so I can order a JL"...and the comments are: "you know you don't need to put any thing down, just sign and drive"...then he replies: "I have to put $500 deposit to order it, I just don't have it right now"...

Maybe maybe you are struggled with scrambling $500, you really should not order a vehicle with a base price tag of $36k...

I try that’s all I can do. Albeit my entire family is Left... God bless them they did teach me how to work. I am really easy to get along with and I don’t hate on anyone for what political party they support. I have plenty of friends who are hard left and we joke on each other all the time on how we see things differently. My entire family however absolutely hates that I’m conservative but whatever haha Dad won’t even joke politics with me at all.

Well these days "hard Left" sure is a lot more left than it used to be. All I'm hearing from the dems is take away your meat, guns, cars that use gas, and lets be socialists because what could go wrong haha. Oh yeah and the new big "abortion" move saying its ok to put a live baby down if it happed to survive the procedure.
They have moved a long way from where they were 10 or 12 years ago when I used to be a democrat.
