Why in tf is Jeep introducing new Rubicon models to foreign markets while pausing all domestic Rubicon orders in the US? ?

All I see is a Rubicon with the Sunrider option. The article goes on to say that Mexico is gaining access to two colors not normally available to it: Hydro-Blue and Sting Gray. That's it...and there's only going to be 100 of them, for the bargain price of $66K.

There's really nothing new here.

Yes, if Rubicon builds are on hold in/for the US market, that's an inquiry that deserves an answer from Corporate.

Reading the announcement, this smells like they had a bunch of inventory of Hydro Blue/Sting Gray Rubi's stuck in Mexico for some reason and made lemons out of lemonade. Only 100 units seals the deal for me - this is a marketing spin on a "creative" solution to an inventory challenge.

Bravo to someone at Stellantis who came up with this.
