We can get started from there.Went to pick up my Jeep this morning. It actually took this long for the replacement radio to get delivered. When I got in and checked the new radio, my Sirius/XM wasn't working. Got the message that there was no connection and I should contact the dealership. The tech took the Jeep back and was gone for close to an hour, after reassuring me everything was working when he initially handed off the Jeep to me. Finally, he returned and said that while he was on the phone with XM, he was told to position the Jeep pointing in different directions to make sure it could reach the satellites. Honestly, seemed kinda shoddy advice, considering the Jeep was in a dealership lot with little obstructing the signal. This was all to no avail. He assured me that maybe I just needed to give it time to download all the new content. So, I took the Jeep and drove home.
On the drive back, I did notice the XM stations appeared. they would last a few seconds and then vanish, with the same error popping up. Another thing I noticed is that like on the old radio, my GPS position was way off, this time in Canada. I checked the GPS signal and sure enough, couldn't hit even one satellite. Looks like I'll be heading back to the dealership. I'm gonna guess that it's either a faulty GPS/XM antenna or connection, or I got a replacement radio that was already borked.
Since the dealership refused to install whatever the latest hardware was and claimed they could only use a 2018 version of the radio to match my Jeep, it's safe to assume I likely got a refurbished unit that wasn't properly refurbished. Haven't checked the harware version, but it's even possible I got an older version than I initially had. Since my build date was later in the year, I'm pretty sure I had the 2019 version of the radio.

I believe this is the policy at all dealerships pertaining to applying TSBs. They will only apply it if their TSB document includes the specific problem you report.... explaining that the Aux battery workaround isn't actually listed in the TSB text, even though it includes it....
FWIW, the dealership did eventually apply the PCM update TSB, as well as the ABS update TSB it required. I had to insist and pointed out that the Aux battery cold crank decoupling was in it, just not listed in the text. After offering to open up a star case if they didn't feel comfortable just doing it without FCA authorization, they relented. It obviously depends on the dealership, as well as the customer. If you make it clear that you actually know what you're talking about, and are not just some mall-crawler who heard their cousin's friend's brother suggest something, you have a better chance.I believe this is the policy at all dealerships pertaining to applying TSBs. That's why we need to know what's actually listed in the TSB document and describe one of the "listed" issues in the TSB to have it applied.
My last service visit I had 3 different TSBs applied including the one highlighted in this thread.
