It's a jungle out there. My wife and I with 800+ credit score "qualified" for 6.24% interest recently. I laughed and asked who I make the check out to.
Was that rate through the dealer? I'm asking because NavyFed is around 4.5%, still higher than I want, but every point counts.

Recession is coming. 6 months from now, all carmakers are going to be cutting pricess and offering big discounts and dealers will be cutting further to clear their lots for new model year stuff. The recent price cuts by Tesla and now Ford with the Mustang Mach E will soon come to the entire industry. If you can wait a bit longer to order, I would.

Lets face it people, the era of easy cheap money, gas, products is over, and I don't believe its ever coming back. If there is an upside, I fear its after a long hard fall...

I have always been of the belief that when money, gas and products are cheap, it’s going to come at a cost, so be ready.

Curious for those that leased a Jeep at a previously lower rate will make out at end of lease in terms of purchasing if so inclined

This could be attributed to the Rubicon trim, but not confirmed. @Nitehawk92 ,you and I both ordered from Miracle CDJR within about a week of each other yes? Looking at my window sticker compared to now, my same build is $3,535 more. MY POC total is dollar for dollar of my window sticker. I've attached a current build summary if you'd like to compare current option pricing to my window sticker.

Also, I had the default 3.6 engine and manual transmission, maybe that had something to do with it. I couldn't just get a Sahara, I had to go up to the Rubicon to get the manual transmission. You cannot buy a 2023 Sahara with a manual. Somebody else posted the difference between 2022 and the same 2023 model. I was just comparing my build that was delivered 12/15 2022 and the current Jeep Builder prices...

I noticed that Punk'n is now available on the configurator, but most of the options packages jumped 20-25% since last week!

Makes me glad I ordered when I did. The cost of my build has gone up $3535 since July.
This is the option hike on just the Sport S trim:

Advanced Safety: $945 to $1195
Cold Weather Group: $1195 to $1095 (weird)
Safety Group: $1145 to $1395
LED Lights: $1295 to $1495
Convenience Group: $795 to $995
Sun and Sound Package: $4290 to $5395
Trailer Tow HD Electrical: $995 to $1195

Yikes.
I optioned a 2023 Willys unlimited to the exact same spec (minus Gorilla glass which I didn't see) as my 2021 and it came to almost $5000 more for the same thing!!!!!

The extra $5k in sticker price almost makes me feel better about paying $5k more in late '22 than I would've had I bought in early '21 like I originally planned (doesn't really make me feel any better at all, but maybe just a little less bad about the timing 🤔 )

Wow.

I ordered my '21 Rubicon 2-door, 3.6L MT, hard top, tow package, cold weather group, LED lights, and 8.4" premium audio.

I paid $51,400 with 0%/36 months.

"The good old days" are now just two short years ago!

Yup the good times are over! My '21 Sahara 6sp build came to 46k, same build today (minus the 6sp which is no longer available on the Sahara), comes to 8-10k more depending on the motor choice. I really think the only reason they brought back a stick in the JL is to advertise a lower starting price, then they can maul you with the now I think 4k for the auto, which is insane in and of itself...

I bought a three 80th Anniv 4drs in March '21. for between $42 and 43K - below sticker of 43-44.5K.
Trades were going for a bunch back then. 80th's were somewhat Sahara(ish), painted fenders, 8.4/nav/alpine, cold weather/proximity, auto./hard top.

2dr Rubicons auto/softtops were 45K back then.

Don't want to know what that would price out now.

what do you mean?
If you have a lease and want to purchase, you finance at the end. Today's rate, not three years ago's rate.

Hate to be that guy...but if my job holds, I won't mind taking advantage of the automakers. Gimme a C8 without the wait!

Do you belong to a credit union? If not I suggest joining one. You should have a rate lower than that.
