Anyone have, or has anyone seen a schematic detailing which pins go to what on the hardtop connector? The one you disconnect to take the top off. I'd like to know what each of them do.

Amazing. Is there a way to find where exactly these wire are in the Jeep and where they terminate?. Some of course are obvious and labeling is descriptive enough but some are not. I'm trying to track down the Power top power wires. I "think" they terminate in the block of wires in the back in the rear cargo. Has anyone done a breakdown of all the wires in that block? Since I dont have a power top, these could be used for a fridge instead for example.

Or could they power a trailer brake controller or tow hitch wiring harness?... A lot closer than the battery!

Thats some pretty cool connector information! I’d like to know how to get those. Otherwise, do you have the wiring page for the fuel pump control module? I ripped some wires out and need to know which wires go where.

Hey no need to get that diagram unless you want to post it for the forum. I was able to get the schematic and pin-outs from my local dealer. Thanks for looking into this!

A word of caution for anyone that may drop the fuel tank in the future, there is virtually zero wiring slack between the fuel pump connector and the control module mounted to the frame. Soon as you can lower tank enough to get your hands on the fuel pump connector disconnect it and the two wire harness clips. Otherwise you might risk ripping wires out of the fuel pump control module connector like I did.

Can somebody tell me what these codes mean where the arrows are pointing to?

J5 should be the terminal cavity location within the connector (C2) that attaches to the power distribution center (which is the fuse box under the hood). The 12 represents the terminal cavity location that the particular pink/yellow wire connects to on the back of the front power window switch. The S17034 i believe is a splice. Circuit breaker CB01 supplies power to both the front window switch and the rear window switch if equipped. That 1 large pink/yellow 3.0mm wire comes out of fuse box, then splits (via a splice) into two wires supplying each switch with power it looks like. All of those SXXXXX black Dots with connecting dashed lines in these schematics should be splices sending power to multiple spots as needed. As for connector cavity numbering, some are numbered, some are lettered and some are number/letter combos. The 8-way connector that connects to our fuel pump control module has 8 cavities, they are lettered A thru H. I happened to rip out two wires from cavity D and cavity E. Without schematics and a connector diagram, I wouldn’t have known which wires went where.

Here’s a few pics to help anyone that may be interested to better understand our weird wiring diagrams (for the record, my old Toyota wiring diagrams and FSM’s are the best ones I’ve ever seen and used)

Below is part of the schematic and connector diagram as mentioned above regarding the hardtop connector.

As you can see there are two fuses that supply power to left and right side for the power top. And the following picture shows the connector diagram for connector XY440A that reference the exact wires (green/red and orange/red) that terminate in cavities 13 and 14 in that particular 14-way connector. Also notice that between the fuse box (power distribution center) and the power top control module, there are 3 total connectors that the wires pass through. The mentioned XY440A as well as XY401A and XY9000A. The circuit numbers however do not change.

I'm scratching my head with the door wiring; it doesn't seem like there are enough wires on the diagram to perform the function(s) - namely the lock/unlock button on the door. Shouldn't there be at least three wires for a three-position switch (common, lock, unlock) or at least two wires if the common is ground? I'm just trying to figure out which wires to tap on the door connector (the one you disconnect to remove the door) that would allow me to mimic the door lock switch.

I have installed my AMP EXtreme power steps per the wiring instructions they provided but I don't seem to be getting the passenger front door signal. Would you happen to have the pin out for the blue connector on the BCM? I can't seen to get anyone at AMPs Tech Support.

Since you got the 2018, could you possibly get the 2020? My system is close but not exactly the same. Knowing that the relay is on a non-serviceable PCB helps a lot though. Thanks again.

I have installed my AMP EXtreme power steps per the wiring instructions they provided but I don't seem to be getting the passenger front door signal. Would you happen to have the pin out for the blue connector on the BCM? I can't seen to get anyone at AMPs Tech Support.

Did you ever sort this out? The AMP manual stinks and I'm being polite! Also pre-purchase talk with their support wasn't encouraging.
