It’s coming! I’ll be there all week and hope to get details and some pics.

Updated with photos:

Battery is under the body. Looks similar to the eTorque battery. Exhaust resonator looks slightly reduced. Show girls had no details, and there was no mention of an inverter for camp use. The display was a rubicon and the video was of a Sahara so it looks like it will be available for multiple trims just like the diesel.

So glad to see that. :)

Just curious, don't know if you got to take a look but what was on the other side, on the opposite side of the plug?

*Edit* Oh, and thanks for the pictures!

Well they definitely could’ve done a better job designing the plug. Not the end of the world though.

Interesting
You can see that it has traditional front and rear diffs (Not that that was ever really in doubt). the Compass/Renegade are Front Wheel Drive with electric motors powering the rear wheels. A better setup in some ways, but glad the Wrangler kept the standard drive train.
Thanks for the pics!

Pretty standard for car makers (as well as others) to "trickle" the info to maintain a buzz about a product. The one-and-done data dump doesn't keep the product in the news and on people's minds nearly as effectively. It's anticipated that more detailed info will be made available in March at Geneva. Don't be surprised if that's more technical stuff about the powertrain but no pricing or vice versa (I'd guess the former).

Hey Noob
Any way you can get a picture under the front end? People in the main forum are saying they can use it to tell what motor it has

I can't wait to see the range on battery alone.
They want to sell Jeeps in China, the world's biggest auto market. In order to do this they need PHEV's available with a 50 KM electric only range, or roughly 32 miles, like the Pacifica. But China's definition of "Range" is easier to meet than the one in the US where we drive much faster, so the exact same system could be rated lower here. For now I would be surprised if it was more. Hopefully the electric motor can be turned off and saved for trail use.

diesel_jeep found this on the Mopar website: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/owners-manual.html
Looks like its getting the 2.0 turbo. Interestingly, if you select the Sahara PHEV on the drop down menu, it lists it as having 3.73 gears Also, it only lists Sahara and Rubicon as PHEV

What is most interesting from this little tidbit is that they will be employing the ZF 8P75PH transmission, which both integrates the electric motor into the tranny and decouples the engine drive while in full electric mode. This is nothing like the hybrid system in the Pacifica. It can also supply up to 120hp and 184 ft.lbs of torque, though this wouldn't be in addition to the ICE's output.
