Jeep resale values have always been fantastic. But it'll be interesting to see what effect the EV / PHEV versions will have on this...
For now the 4xe is great value value if you get the tax credit. And here in NY there are additional incentives. But resale on a 4xe?.. as good as a tried and true V6? But beyond that, until the tax credit runs out, it probably wouldn't make sense for some to buy a 4xe used. And if/when solid state batteries become popular would you spend a lot of money on a used 4xe if the new version gets radically more range...
And, in 5 years from now, if there is a fantastic EV version with solid state batteries, long range, reliability etc. Will the resale for the current generations be as high?
Anyhow, I'll always want the 392, my first jeep was a CJ7 with the 304 and I put on headers and side pipes. The bare metal floors and lack of doors helped with the awesome sound! What can I say, if it were an option, I'd have an old metal key with the AMC logo to start up my modern Jeep..
