jeep JL damage

hey my girlfriend just got the 2019 jeep jl and she having some bubbling issue right on top on the USB port. any one know why this is happening or how to fix it? please and thank you!!!

Doesn't look like heat damage.... Looks just like paint when you get brake fluid ( paint remover)
On the surface, and don't get it off soon enough.
I'd bet on some sort of solvent?

Interesting! Look how it is also apparent to the left of the large peeling area. Barring any user introduced cleaning agent or contamination. It is probably a MFG. defect, like the surface of the plastic was not properly cleaned before applying the coating. You should contact the dealer to get replacement parts under warranty if this is the case.

Looks like spilled nail polish remover (acetone)

There is also damage on media door opener. This was caused by acetone spillage or something along that line. A successful warranty claim is unlikely IMHO.

You can get something like this to cover it. I'm sure they have on in black if you search.

You should also be able to find a new cover for the media center.

Wonder if this was removed for some reason and then repainted and put together before paint dried while someone still had solvent on their hand? Here’s what I see;

that USB port needs replaced, warrantied out. be careful what kinda of cords you use within that port, such as non damaged cords etc.. its just overheated to ruin that plastic above it,
