agreed; nobody said you did.
you said:
“Jeep did replace the 3-speed automatic with the 4-speed auto in 2003 though”

you seemed to object when i pointed out that J**p had been using the 4-spd for quite some time before that.

I never said TJ got the AW4 in 2003... it didn’t

The oblique angle of that photo suggests an inline 3 cylinder. With that in mind, I suspect many will be well pleased with the block's footprint (meaning it could find a home in a variety of vehicles), when additional photos, illustrating the true length of the new engine, become available.

If it does away with the s/s it would be great.

6-speed manual didn’t come until 2005.

Yep, my 2001 60 Anniv edition was a 5-speed manual. I like the 6-speed manual much better...

I have mentioned this before, and it greatly offended a couple people, but I don't know if you were in that thread - the 2023 is getting a new frame.

I just want to clarify once again for those who take this information deeply personal - I am not saying that the 2023 is going to be an "all new" design. I do not know that. I only know that it's got a different frame.
This aged about as well as left out milk.

Hey I can only relay what i'm told. I can't actually make things happen. That said, the frame is out there, and accessories that were designed for it are ordered and in production. So if you ask me, that means it was simply delayed. But that right there is speculation. So maybe 2024? Knowing Stellantis, it could be announced at any time...Jeep has never really been a brand that sticks to model year cycles. They just change sh!t when they feel like it.
