There is one good thing about moving. The PURGE. It feels so good to rid yourself of all the JUNK you accidentally accumulated.
“Do I want this thing enough to put it in a box, pick it up twice, then put it in a new spot in a different house?“ NOPE!!

Yep, one of the positives with all our military moves, every 2 or 3 years we went through the "Purge" as you aptly put it. Clothes/shoes, if you haven't worn it in a year off to Good Will (same with a lot of tools, etc, although I was fairly protective of them
). Garage sale went a long way getting rid of stuff to. Never came close to my max allowed weight on the move (barely made it to half most of the time).
