I did that stuff all the time. when we moved to a new house with a little creek running through the back yard I tried to jump it. I didn't have enough speed and took a NUT SHOT from the handle bar post.

I jumped a barbed wire fence at the base of a steep hill in a cow pasture. Never put any thought into the landing part, crashed into a tree and then the bike fell on my head. Its one of many scars on my noggin, all were well earned.

In high school on the back of a motorcycle we hit a barbed wire fence at high speed. Boyfriend "stayed behind" with the bike. I had a "nice" aerial view before landing in the cow pasture on the other side.

I never got to work with A-10s. Seems like they get no love from the Air Force's General Officers too. Every few years another General wants to get rid of them..

Status update from our bro John from across the pond.
Autumn has arrived and it's been cold.
He needs a new boiler. That's happening next week.
He's hatching a possible new plan. Rent or sell his place and get a cottage by the sea in Wales. He's currently working on his place to get ready for whatever he decides.

I guess the new boiler means no boat.
