Safe travels today, Mike! Well met, thank you for the visit and the handiwork. :involve:

Your airplane has arrived. It'll be a few minutes before you can board, tho - slight service problem to take care of :giggle:
Thx Todd. Was great meeting you and your family.

Ok, explain those hats to me.

I’ve never seen one in real life, so it’s a genuine question. They seem designed to fall off, but I’m pretty sure they don’t.

Why don’t they fit the same way other hats fit?

As far as how it stays on, you'll see the strap in the back that helps this Chief Warrant Officer's Campaign Cover stay on. However as enthusiastic as Marine Corps Drill Instructors get I have seen on more than one occasion the hat falling off.

It dates back in US Service to WWI and in Modern service is worn by The Drill instructors, Marksmanship Instructors and Range Officers in the Marine Corps, Male Drill Sergeants in the Army and Air Force and all Coast Guard Recruit Company Commanders.

Interestingly enough, Female Drill Sergeants in the Army and the Air Force wear the Australian Bush Hat. It just doesn't look as intimidating if you ask me.

Cool little comparison on wheel widths. Have 2 of my friends Jeeps over for work and we all run the same tire
Left is 10” wheel, mine in the middle are 8” and right is stock 7.5” wide

I’m looking into wheels and tires...what’s the argument of 10” vs 8 or 9”?

The wider tires gets you more surface area on the ground to grip. Great for froading, but not so great for daily driving as it eats more gas with the extra weight and friction.
