I like the look of it. I'll need more details to really form an opinion of it though.

Agreed. Still not sold on all electric yet, but Jeep claims it will do the Rubicon and get to the nearest town before needing to be recharged. Not sure I would chance that. But, I could see if replacing our Grand Cherokee L or Cherokee Altitude down the road after it and our electric power infrastructure have proved itself to be worthy.

Yep. I'm sticking to fossil fuel for now. Personally, I don't trust America's power infrastructure to handle an all EV population. Too many states have brown outs as it is. Not to mention terrorists or other foreign governments could take our power grid offline until they are more secure.

I would need a 240v Charger at a minimum at home. And If I need to charge in a hurry, there are Tesla chargers at the Sheetz down the street.

But since I am renting my house I probably won't get the go ahead to add an at home charger like what would be needed. Charging on 120 takes far too long to be practical.

A 4Xe would be a better choice for me at the moment.

That was my thought, but if it's tied to the HD axel, which is what's been said so far, not a lot else it could be.
I think it's just a marketing ploy.

There might be several things that change along with the HD axle that are not selectable options. Selecting that axle might trigger a different radiator, springs, gears, even possibly a crossmember or some different gussets on the frame, but to us it would just say "HD rear axle" on the window sticker.
