Thank you, pretty similar to my plans. I was thinking of putting the Ethernet connection on the lower side of the dash, but I might rethink that and put it in the center console after seeing yours. Any issues with the seat hitting it if you move it forward?

Except for having a magnetic mount instead of the hook. May change the antenna to the tailgate as well though I think this may be a better placement.

I am going down there Memorial weekend. I'm sure the gang would welcome one more.

I will be hiking May 7-12th and running out of days, but I'll see if I can squeeze another trip out.

Good morning Jeepers and Jeepettes.

On the GMRS radios, I saw 2 comments that GMRS is "line of site" only. I was out at Rausch Creek with my club and using my handheld GMRS. People behind me were having issues, so I waited for them to catch up. Those in front kept going.

When the others started to catch up, I got moving again. I got to an intersection on the trail and didn't know whether to go right or left. Used the GMRS to those that were well out of sight, through a lot of trees, and about a mile away. Worked like a charm, that little handheld GMRS. Not discounting what you guys are saying, just trying to understand as I plan to stick with my handheld GMRS .

The same handhelds here and they were great in Moab. The only reason I'm expanding is to be able to keep in touch when the group gets a bit further apart. I was always getting noise and feel the cab mounted unit will work much better. Even the 15W model.

Yes sir. Pretty chilly last night. Looking at rain tonight, and getting colder tomorrow again. Sorry so late responding. My brother and i made a day of going to gun stores to see if there was anything we needed real bad! Seems there was! We both walked away with new Colts.

Lets see... I already have one for the Kitchen, now I need one for the upstairs bathroom...
