You guys have pretty much said it all. I hold out hope of a miracle turn around, but have been through this BS before as well with my father - just last Nov, and find myself revisiting the anger and sadness once again

Cherish the time spent with Mike, however. We've traveled together, froaded, looked at airplanes , and shared multiple meals with our families together.

Once upon a time, two strangers met and took a day trip to meet up with more strangers - that's what it's all about. .. we remarked with his daughter and SIL how unlikely it was that two axe murderers would meet up and get into a car together

I love the guy, and will miss your presence Mike. We'll carry on, but know that you've made a mark.

I’ve forwarded photos of most of you to his daughter. She was a bit overwhelmed with her newfound role. She knows all of you love him.

... fuck. Sitting here trying to fight back tears. Mike reminds me a lot of my dad, personality wise, just the right amount of dirty old man Lost him to cancer almost 11 years ago.
I am glad I got to meet Mike in Moab and sign his shirt. I thoroughly enjoyed following him while we gunned it around some sand berms. I wish I could have spent more time there and got to spend more time with everyone, especially Mike.
I tend to be the type to latch onto hope in these situations, it rarely works out in my favor and it seems to hurt a bit more, but I'll be damned if I am going to give up just yet.

Mornin... Back in the office. Don't want to be but it is what it is. I'm struggling with the sadness and anger like the rest of us are here. I know he wants us to keep rolling with the friendliness and humor in here. Hugs to all you fuckers

I only got to visit with Mike on one occasion. We cooked steaks, Charlie got to run around the BAMH for a few seconds and then sat on Mike's feet. Regretfully we didn't get a picture of Mike and Charlie together, and I know Trina, Dan and CK were beating him up over that.

Next day I took him to Old Salem, Pilot Mountain (where he declined the 2 mile hike around the pinnacle so I had to find something else to fill the time) and then to an odd historical house here in town, all while goofing off and badgering each other.

Then we went Wheeling the next day!
