Yes those are the Raptor tires. I am going to weigh the combo tonight and will post back.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on the Load Cs after you have some miles on 'em, or even your early thoughts. I might go with those on the next set, not that I have a problem with the Ds. They've been great.

Okay, change of plans... Instead of Friday Harbor/San Juan Islands, my current thought is to head over to Vashon Island instead and do a park run there on Saturday.

Any of the Pac NW contingent here available to comment on idea? Need some opinions, please!

Cheers,
-CM-
you're on your own. the only plans i have for saturday is
a. going to work in a snow storm.
b. post office tells us to stay home.
c. shoveling the snow either saturday (if we are off) or sunday.

either way, still waitng to see which way the storm is going. i could have 6" or more 0f the snow.

I’ve liked mine quite a bit. 🤷‍♂️

- scratch that! -

I just have the 315’s in load C, not the 37’s. Didn’t remember the rapper went to 37’s.

So, 37’s and Mopar wheel is 93.7 lbs
33’s and Rubicon wheel is 68.9 lbs
Mopar wheel bare is 29.5 lbs
BFG K02 in 37 x 12.5R 17 in load range C is 64.2 lbs.

First impression at 30 psi is they ride and handle pretty good, can definitely feel the added weight, I’ll have to turn the Falcons up to 2.4 on the adjuster. And, 6th gear is useless, again. Now I have to regear lol.

Yeah, as I wrote that earlier post I was trying to remember the advantages of the LR-Cs. One of them is weight. Iirc, the slotted wheels with the Ds came in right around 100 lbs for the combo. That's the bathroom scale weight, not the fancy industrial Mettler Toledo scale weight. :giggle:

Losing a little weight on the rotating mass is definitely a good thing. Easier on the spare/tailgate, too.

Thinking of 4.88’s maybe 5.13, I keep reading the transmission and gears section and everyone says 5.13’s all day. That would give me a granny gear which is useful.
Gregj
I’m using 4.88’s with 315’s and I think it’s some of the best money spent.

I wouldn’t want to give up the deeper gears to go larger on tires. I would also get 5.13’s for the 37’s. :like:
