So I've been seeing a lot of ads (and other forums activity) for this thing

Eventually the ad flashes this up

I think they may have gone too far with the marketing BS.
Now you can put that on a 392 Rubicon and finally have a sports car...

It's always sad (for me) when you're about to post something like that and one of your thoughts is "Some of the younger folks might not get it."
Do we even have anyone too young to know about the Kool Aid man?

You tell me, I think you're still the "puppy" of the team. :giggle:

I don't watch ad-supported TV anymore but I don't remember the last time I saw the Kool-aid man running through a wall.

Just found out my DS LED Tail light (with blind spot) is cracked and has moisture inside. No signs of impact and reading thru threads it seems like it is a fairly common issue. Jeep is proud of these and they are pushing $400 each , thinking upon replacing both with the Oracle flush mounts ... thoughts?

Some of y’all were talking about warranty work in vehicles, and what the dealer gets paid. I can’t say for other vehicle types, but I can tell you I worked in a Chevy dealer. If I recall correctly, we were getting around $110 an hour customer pay, and $95 or so warranty. The really big diffference comes from labor hours. See, GM has a warranty book and it told us how many hours a certain job pays. And trust me, it was always just barely what it actually took to do the repair, and in a lot of cases, way less. But with customer pay, we, and other dealers, used one of the labor rate services, like Motors, or others. The hours for a job were much higher from those manuals. Partly because they calculate in that vehicles are harder to work on with age, wear, and tear. So yes, a dealer gets much more doing customer pay work than warranty. But if an item was in warranty, unless it was blatant misuse or abuse, we were required to do the warranty repairs.

I bought the flush mounts and await their delivery. I have only three weeks on my XR, and they just seemed like the right light. I know people are having issues with the Oracle lights with the Factory LED package, but I have a tazer mini and that apparently clears it up. I think the look is fantastic - looks like the light belongs vs. being added to the box.
