This kind of thing is where I used to play.
I like your idea better. Might find some old homesteads to explore.

The stuff Mike and Steve get into plus some fast sections was my overall thought. Did go into the hills with the pup yesterday and ended up on some washboards. Love the MetalCloak lift, but my Jeep is complete garbage on washboards and woops still are not it's thing. Too short a wheelbase?

Ah well, drive slower and enjoy the view is my new goal.

I had a map of all the old mining camps. It was fun hunting down the "ghost towns", searching around for artifacts and such. The trail in the picture is Pipeline, east of Ajo, and runs out past Coffeepot Mountain, skirts the edge of the Tohono Ookam Reservation...can run it almost 100 miles toward Tucson if you feel like it. Lots of stuff to explore along both sides of it. At the time, it was acceptable to drive anywhere that wasnt fenced.
