@Steveo i have an observation, take it for what it’s worth. Standard CV grease is pretty thin and is held in the joint by a boot that is securely clamped to the joint, in all the photos of RCV’s I’ve seen there is no clamps on them. So maybe the RCV sauce is special in that it won’t be flung out of the joint. 🤷‍♂️

Still not buying it. (literally OR figuratively) The RCV boots have to seal around the stub shaft joint housing or they wouldn't be effective at their intended purpose, which is keeping grease in and contamination out. Also, all the CV greases I've seen are NLGI #2 greases which means they have the same consistency.

I dabbed my finger in both greases the other day and they seemed to be about the same consistency. :giggle:

CV Joint Grease == NLGI #2 with Moly. Simple as that. The Redline CV2 is the choice of older (mid-80s) Toyota 4x4 truck owners, too, which are birfield front axle designs. It was recommended to me by some other Jeepers.

I'm sure the Valvoline Palladium Moly would work well also, or the Amsoil Moly greases.

Like I said, too, there can't be anything in/about RCV's grease to justify the $40 price tag. It's a razor/handle business model IMHJO. They want you to think it's the only razor that will work with their handle.

And since I bought both sets of shafts used the lifetime warranty doesn't transfer over to me so I don't have to use their solid gold grease. :giggle: GFY RCV.

Mornin Jeep Peeps!

I have a question on this bacon subject. How do you keep the bacon you don't fry up stored? As much as I'd love to fry a whole package, pretty sure that's not a solid plan. So, how to keep the remainder from dying in the fridge? I've never really checked, but does it store for long periods?
Bacon comes in a single serving package…no matter how big the package! 🤪

Correctamundo, sir... I think the font is playing tricks on the eyes. The second one has one more letter and a second "okina" (the extra Hawaiian vowel, basically a glottal stop, written as an apostrophe). So it's technically longer than the one for the State Fish, which is also known as a Picasso Triggerfish. (@MrGneissGuy - *ding*)

Let me know if you guys get tired of the fish shots - it's my third hobby (after wine and skiing). Err, maybe fourth, now that I think about it (after wine, skiing, and Jeep) :like: .

Cheers,
-CM-
Nope, keep 'em coming ... just don't have a favorite :giggle:

You opened the doors to the pod...had the driver back up quickly and slam on the breaks...and sling everything towards the garage...right?
