I certainly was not around when they were still making them, but my Great grandfather had a construction and ironworks business in NY when I was a kid, and some of the pickups still had foot activated starters. This was during the 1960’s.I mean unless someone in here was born in the 1930s I think my statement might stand, lol.
You sure, had the wheel been invented at that point?I think you mean a horse-drawn cart...
I used to love climbing over the old farm equipment at my parent's house. There was an old Massey Ferguson combine that had been sitting out in the field for decades I would pretend to drive.I certainly was not around when they were still making them, but my Great grandfather had a construction and ironworks business in NY when I was a kid, and some of the pickups still had foot activated starters. true. whats funny is when someone comes over to see my 31 truck. they were like "whats with all the pedals, etc." they were mind blown about the floor mounted starter.true. Also one must consider the floor mounted starter switch was obsolete before most of us in here were even born.
