Diesels are pretty spendy. I really wish they weren't.So, on the build n price, I could get a sport, ecodiesel for around 48k. As close as what I really wanted as possible in a sport jlu.
On the bronco, I can get every single option I want, including the marine grade vinyl interior, except for the diesel engine. All in for 47k.
Damn it jeep! Get competitive for real!!
Even without the diesel, a comparatively spec'd Sahara is almost 10k more than its ford cousin.Diesels are pretty spendy. I really wish they weren't.
Edit: upgrading to the Diesel costs almost as much as what I paid cash for my Dakota... I just now realized that.
Doing a sas is still way easier than going the other way. LolYou know, I like the Idea of the Bronco... but every now and then I get reminded of why a solid front axle is good. I just walked passed supervisor's F-150 and the tread pattern is wearing out on the outer edge much faster than the inner edges of his front tires... Something I DON'T miss about the Ram.
Once Broncos start selling, Jeep "may" revisit their prices. So, on the build n price, I could get a sport, ecodiesel for around 48k. As close as what I really wanted as possible in a sport jlu.

What specific build are you going with for the Bronco? Outer Banks?Even without the diesel, a comparatively spec'd Sahara is almost 10k more than its ford cousin.
If jeep could atleast give me a waterproof interior option that didn't break the damn bank, that'd definitely put me in favor of the jeep.
As is, if ford ever drops a diesel in the bronco, I don't think I could resist. Especially if you could still get their automatic 4wd with it.
Safe travels, cap'n!Mornin Jeep Peeps! (headed back home today. )
