Did see the cops had somethin goin on in the mall parking lot. Three cop cars, one suv with all the doors open, and 3/4 people with their hands up and on the vehicle.

We had quite an adventure today on The Rubicon Trail. Didn't get far as there's still quite a bit of snow not too far in to it on the Tahoe side, but we met a lot of cool off-roading peeps. It was a lot of fun. I de-virgin'ized the following equipment:

• The winch
• The factor 55 ultra hook
• Most of the contents of my winch accessory kit, including:
  • 20 foot tow strap
  • 8 foot tree protector
  • Snatch block and chain
  • D-ring

We had a great time on the trail. We spent the most time recovering the Chebby 2500 which had 4x4 but no lockers and wasn't really suited to the conditions, but the kids in it were great fun. Videos later.

I had to recover the 2500 four or five times.

At one point I couldn't recover Blake's truck UP the trail so I had to use the snatch-block to pull him DOWN the trail, even though I was in front of him.

As we headed back down the trail Blake got stuck again so I hooked up the tow strap and got stuck as well. Neither vehicle could move forward or backward. Jack came along in his JK just in time to winch Ofsteve and the Chevy forward. At that point we had 3 vehicles strapped together.

The guy in the Raptor helped get Blake's 2500 turned around on the trail. Then we met some nice folks, both driving '84 CJs. The guy in the white CJ had dropped a Chevy 305CI motor in it. It sounded awesome.

The dude in the red CJ broke a u-joint going up the trail. They also discovered that he had a bent front drive-shaft.

Cass and I finished up the day with a hike up Eagle Rock for spectacular views of the lake.
