Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great Friday.

Well, after a 5+ hour round trip drive last night, we finally have a dog again. This is Maddie, our French Bulldog, and seems to be enjoying her new home. She is very sweet with a bit of attitude and stubbornness.

Well, I kept an eye on my Marine's welfare. An ass chewing from me was rare but it carried a lot more weight than from someone who yelled for no reason.

Agree, something the sooner you learn the more effective you will be. Had a fellow Marine say to me, you don't swear much for a Marine. I told him, yep, but when I do my Marines know you know what is going to hit the fan and they better hop to or pay attention. If every other word out of your mouth is a colorful four letter one, folks just start putting you on mute - same with yelling all the time.

Well all caught up after spending the better part of the day doing something every vehicle owner hates - finding a nail in your tire, and of course just far enough outside the tread area so no patching.

Roofing nails are the one gift that a hurricane keeps on giving for a year or so. Numerous homes need new roofs (or people use the hurricane to push for a new roof). Between the demand and waiting for insurance, roof repair/replacement goes on for months. The roofing contractors try but loose roofing nails fall off their trailers and they are perfect length and large nail head for tire pick up:-(.

Thanks! It is nice to have a dog again. It remains to be seen what the cats think. The one has kind of kept his distance and the other, our 23 lb one, seems to be bit skittish at times. And he is the one that really got along with our previous dog.
