This week has been one for the record books. Still trying to unwrap my past work life from around my neck while embracing my new work life. ... SO much to learn in SO little time...

I'm slightly behind schedule but basically the same path. There were at least three Mondays this week. I updated my letter of company resignation to be prepared to hand it over if they decided I was the scapegoat. I've been too busy to talk with other teams in order to role hop, so if I got steamrolled leaving would have been the only choice.

Instead my manager was aligned on an idea I had planned to raise with the director, about joining a sibling team. While this does actually ignore some of the issues on the (current) team, it is accurate that's there really no work here for me right now hence no way to grow. I expect behind closed doors there's been some conversations (eg automatic versus manual transmissions).

Next week will be a similar whirlwind but at least the undesirable outcomes have been taken out of the picture. Transition will like start before end of month, so lots of rapid onboarding expected.
