I was getting ready to start teaching for the day, had the tv on in my classroom. Spent the rest of the week trying to make sense of it for other people's scared kids. Sickening.

I was working in the lab when news of the twin towers came on the radio. After the Pentagon was hit, NASA evacuated everyone. For the rest of the day I was alone in my house - 15 minutes from the Pentagon - listening to the fighter jets fly laps overhead. Jim was stranded in Idaho trying unsuccessfully to rent a car. I will never forget that horrible day.

I just think it's odd that it will be my first test given how long we have been sheltering in place. Given that you are contagious before symptoms, I would have thought general and more widespread testing would have been done. :dunno:

I was outside watching the lads rip out my front yard. I also did some irrigation stuff and somehow managed to bust a pipe, of course. Once they leave I'll go get a pipe cap and fix'r. I noticed that the pvc they have underground is very thin wall, and being 17 years old, kinda brittle.

Was at Sikorsky at the time. We saw hi rez pics fairly early that afternoon as blackhawks and military pilots from our facility were dispatched for recon. Was extremely sobering.

One of those days that driving the 35 mile commute home to hug your family felt endless. Still angry about that day.
