The kids just reported CT schools are closed until next month. On the news the coronavirus just turned into a crisis.
There's talk of shutting down the LAUSD (L.A. Unified School Dist) this week.
One of my food cache scores at Wally World last night.

I bought just as many as I was told to.

Wasn't worried about the health aspects of Spam. :CWL:

It's a good "prepper" selection for its shelf life and calorie density (fat content)

Dad brought MRE's home sometimes from the field. We ate them as treats. :captain:

We grew up eating MREs.
The new ones are pretty good. Atleast I think so. If I'm budgeting strictly, I'll eat one a day, and nothing else.
Y'all obviously haven't had the First Strike Ration Menu #1 lol I seemed to always get that one because letting my Lance Corporals get the first selection meant I got the bad ones. :puke:

But yes there are some good MREs out there. I would always go for the buffalo chicken when I could.

I still wear my ICBs when I ride the motorcycle. great boots.
I've worn jungles to work till they fell apart.
Best boots I ever had were my wolverines, but they don't make those exact ones anymore, and I need summer boots. Not 10inch slip-ons.
Most comfortable boots I had were Diehard Killroys. Also no longer in production.

did you order the Willys Sport on accident?
Nope - package code on order (and on sticker under options) is 24S which is the code for Jeep Wrangler Sport S. Willy's package code is 22K. Has to be a typo on the header (will be interesting to see what the physical sticker that is on the Jeep says).

Once y'all have had to live on this garbage, you can eat anything...
Living in CA we have a 1-month supply of freeze dried food... you know the kind of stuff you take backpacking. That plus the spam we're gonna outlast this m'fing virus!!!!

Dad got me a set of military boots just before I got out of high school that I loved. Later I bought a fancy set of Danner boots that I thought would do for my mountain hikes, especially snow season. Fail.

They were never as comfortable or as capable as the military boots. I do need to find another set.

Edit: The boots they tried to replace these with are Garbage... worth a good "Rubbish!" from Clarkson.
