Honestly I have no clue. A) it just feels weird to say a long kilometre, and b) I have no idea really how long a mile is. I just know that it takes more than 1km to equal a mile. Imperial measurements really are just make believe numbers to me.

A mile is a couple of seconds for a blackbird pilot but about the same distance from earth to the moon when traffic slows to a crawl and you have to piss.

A kilometer is about .6 mile. A mile is about 1.6 km. 500 meters is about 550 yds, which is a tough shot over iron sights....but can be done with an M14.

I had an uncle who was an army sniper. He won an entertaining bet with one of my brothers in law about being able to make a shot..... My brother in law lost the bet to say the least.... And it was with a 35 cal hunting rifle I think? It was somewhere between 500 & 600m
