Wo came first, The Marshall Tucker band, or Jethro Tull? I know I knew of Marshal Tucker band before I knew of Jethro Tull.

[Edit]: Looks like Jethro Tull started in '67 and The Marshall Tucker Band started in '72

I still listen to all that stuff from that era. It's all on the thumb drives of my vehicles. Of course Jethro Tull is on them.

Can't you see always makes me think of this song. They were close to each other on a CD I made of some of my dad's music.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
You know you're getting old when you start using words like "era" to refer to portions of your life. :swear:

You know, like you're a dinosaur.
At least most of us are still carnivorous :)

I didn't know anything about the sourcing of these beauties. I had assumed GM or similar. Looks like it may be an S-10 chassis, so close!
As far as I know the S-10 and the Astro were on the same chassis.

Sounds right. My folks had an Astro - made for roadside marshmallow roasting at one point :surprised:

We had one as a Duty Van way back in 04. It had a very truck like drive and a 4.3 liter engine.

But in your case, sorry about the van on fire... :surprised:

Ah, didn't see Newt's note on the Astro chassis - just looked up how Grumman got the contract and found the S-10 tidbit there.

Getting some interesting vintage ‘froaders at the local cruise…this Scout II is a nice lookin’ nearly stock ol’ IH.

Love the rudimentary full-analog dash. :like:
