Murphy's law of fasteners. No matter how many screws/bolts/nuts you have in your collection you never have the one you need right now. Off to Ace hardware!

Also, I hate that Can't Phillip. The fucker who invented the Phillip's head screw.

:fist bump:

Finally found what I needed here:

https://www.mcmaster.com/

Just ordered up a bunch to fill a few drawers, and will get more next month.

Apparently I’ll have to add grade 8 nuts and bolts.

Back form Ace with 75 #8 x 1.5" wood screws. That should get the job done even if I round out some heads. I only need 4. I got some pretzels cuz they made me think of the Ambassador.

On boats, not only do we have to deal with phillips, but also reed&prince/frearson and posidriv. But I prefer any of them to slotted!

I seem to always learn that after waiting in line for a gas pump for 15 minutes, ugggh!
UNBELIEVABLE... Happened to me today, as predicted! Either it just felt like it was renew time coming around again soon, or this thread has super premonition ... again! First the Van Halen thing last week, hilarious :surprised:

(Edit - context reference: Costco membership due without warning - after waiting in line for a gas pump .. on a Sunday .. with seemingly everyone from the 206 :CWL: )

Funny....every single fastener on old English sports cars is posidriv. A lot of new owners don't realize and bugger up the heads trying to use a Phillips. They ain't the same!

The European boats like posidrivs. They seem to be marginally superior to phillips though.
