Thanks for the kind comments. It’s been a while collecting toys to get to this stage.

My first love was VW beetles and the older the 911s get, the more they drive like fancy bugs. I’ve learned that more joy can be had driving the wheels off an MG Midget, than driving an AWD Jaguar F Type R at the same speed.

These days to me, it’s more about the fun you have, the friends you make, rather than the races you win. (Says this loooooossseeeeeerrrr!!!)

The blue 68 is a 912, so only just one step up from a bug.

914s are fun, but mine became a never ending money pit that was eventually less and less fun.

If it helps any, I’m having a base Jeep as my daily (though in the best color - Sarge Green;)).

Ha ha ha.
Thank you.

Another stupid question. I know Jeep(s?) have back up cameras, but do they have sensors too?

Or am I going to have to fit my own? This seems to be an inexpensive option on Alibaba.

(Just kidding this time)
Sarge Green FTW!

Always been a fan of VWs too. That 914 looks fun to drive, but I can only imagine the cost of something like that with the never ending quest for better lap times.
The older I get the more I realize how much fun it is to drive slow cars fast. That doesn't stop me from wanting to drive/own fast cars though.

Well I found Ofsteve's clunk finally.

It WAS the RR LCA to frame fastener. Wasn't anywhere close to the 90 lb. ft. probably not even half that. Now it's at 100+.

Nice save. :like:

That could have turned ugly.

They do that here in Massachusetts. Not everywhere, but I've parked under several.
trying to not imagine the fire that might happen if some fart-idiot knocked one over while doing donuts... sparks, gasoline... wooohooo
Common joke I thought? We will always be 30 years away. :CWL::CWL::CWL:
like being one bullet-to-the-heart away from death maybe.

I was able to make it clunk again, so I tightened it even more. Hittin' the desert tomorrow so that'll be a good test.
