Funny. The instructions for my glucometer say to change out the lancet in my finger-prick device every time I use it. I've probably used the same lancet 100 (okay, maybe not quite that many) times! I've been (accidently) sticking myself with way worse stuff since I was a toddler. Sticks, rusty nails, tools, kitchen knives, Jeep parts, etc.Immunity to everything!
Never got an infection from the used lancet.
