I'm still trying to figure out the electric bill in the NC house. Upstairs A/C off, downstairs A/C set to 85, all blinds closed, outside temps 70's-80's, one lamp on a timer and the house basically empty for most of last month.

Electric bill $168

Solar is the way to go IMHO.
We installed a 17kw system on our house last summer.
We were a net negative (sold more power than we used) from Sept through May of this year.
And we have a big house with 4 of my 5 kids still living with us.

You're not with Duke Energy?

is duke still a coal plant. or did they convert over to ???. i passed one of duke power plant a couple summers ago, looking around the norman lake and surrounding areas.

The one at Lake Norman is Nuclear, and the one at Belews Lake is Coal.

morning all. I've been hella busy at work with a few projects! y'all been busy posting a lot.
