Biltmore is on the list, one of the reasons the first part of our trip is in that area, though the cabin we're renting is in Mill Spring. We're thinking visiting Chimney Rock, and maybe a winery tour (looks like there are several wineries) or Sierra Nevada tour if they start those up again. We'll be in that area 4 nights.

I haven't even started looking at the Outer Banks yet, so no idea what we'll do the 4 nights there other than the beach.

Chimney Rock is cool with beautiful views. Good call. If you make time, the Wheels Through Time Museum is spectacular. It's located in Maggie Valley and everything in their runs. If you're lucky, the proprietor, Dale Walksler or his son, will be riding a historic motorcycle around the museum. I saw him having a blast riding inside of the museum when I was last there and I will be going back this year.

Morning Jeepers and Jeepettes! I finally got a lazy NC law firm to work with me and return calls about some property I inherited and having one helluva time getting a deed for. I did all of the leg work with Robeson County and now I need to get another death certificate. Ugh!!!! The 1 acre lot probably isn't worth the trouble I am having to go through!

OMG I am too stunned not share this with you guys. The new house in small town NC is approx 1500sq feet: two bedrooms 2 1/2 baths, family room, kitchen. That's it. I had a cleaning lady (referral) come out this morning to give me a quote: $560 to clean the house

In MD/Metro DC, I paid the cleaning lady (what she asked for) $70 to clean a basement and two more bedrooms than in NC!!!

WTF?????

I'd find another cleaning lady... she's out of her mind!

This evening my Jeep club had the honor of escorting (along with a lot of local bikers) the Lima Co - Eyes of Freedom Memorial to Columbus Zoo where the display will reside all next week.

I'll have to check that out.

I couldn't agree more! I asked her for two quotes, the initial clean, then once a month after that. When I saw the amount I honestly thought it was for the rest of the year and not one freaking day!
