So, on the build n price, I could get a sport, ecodiesel for around 48k. As close as what I really wanted as possible in a sport jlu.

On the bronco, I can get every single option I want, including the marine grade vinyl interior, except for the diesel engine. All in for 47k.

Damn it jeep! Get competitive for real!!

and how much would the jeep be without the diesel?

Even without the diesel, a comparatively spec'd Sahara is almost 10k more than its ford cousin.
If jeep could atleast give me a waterproof interior option that didn't break the damn bank, that'd definitely put me in favor of the jeep.

As is, if ford ever drops a diesel in the bronco, I don't think I could resist. Especially if you could still get their automatic 4wd with it.

What is the waterproof interior option? Is it a vinyl floor versus the easily removable carpet that the Jeep has?

Yeah, it's called the 5.7L

As far as I know its the same engine block with a larger bore and stroke... Can't really cost THAT much more than a 5.7. lol

I consider the Black Dimond to be more in line with the Willy's than a Sahara. Of course the line gets blurred if you add the Sasquatch package.

I never built the sport without the diesel. Getting the diesel was the only reason I went all the way down to a sport. Seeing how cheap I could get one, with just power locks, and dual door group.
