WOW !!!!! This is a Jeep forum for fellow Jeep owners. Didn't know it was starting to sound like regular social media.

If this was still the 70's I would have to say CHILL THE F___ out everyone. Last I looked it was still America.

You may now Bash me. S___ rolls right off.

First off let me apologise for making this BLOW-UP. My Fault My Bad.

This thread goes back to early 2020. I happened upon it and made the comment above about bashing fellow Jeeper for a duck.

These two Jeepers replied and THEY thought their humor was funny. I don't see any smiley faces along with the remarks. Being from a 3rd generation Military family I didn't take their so-called humor funny referring to me I was not a Patriot and telling me I must be a socialist.

YES, I should have just blown the stupid comments off but that day it didn't happen.

SO please again let me say to all the Jeepers here I am sorry for letting it get to me and causing this forum thread to blow up.

EXCUSE me but I need to add one more comment. I apologize to ALL Fellow Jeepers except this
@OVRLND cartoon character. He reminds me of what floats in the toilet.

OVRLND
I mean, it’s a forum, not America… but… speaking of America, the duck thing started in Canada, so if you duck a Jeep you are basically a socialist!

True patriots don’t duck!

That person is a licensed user of my invention, Humor. As pointed out in the users guide, its not all inclusive product. It just does not work on a small percentage of the population.

Unfortunately, you're fucked. You'll never feel the joy of humor. You must awkwardly sit in silence as others feel the involuntary response this joyous invention. You might use the opportunity to check text's or untuck those pesky shorts. :like:

i ducked the door handle of a modified XJ i'd seen a few times. it was meant as a compliment, and i would not have bothered had i not admired the vehicle. (i would not go around throwing a duck at every J**p i see.)
seems to have been received in the manner intended; i've seen that duck on her dash now as we've passed ever since.

if someone were to get ducked that didn't appreciate it, i'd hope they'd pass it along to someone who might.

yes, perhaps some would consider it a wasteful tiny bit of plastic, but i've justified it on the chance that it's likely to make *most* people smile.
clearly, there are some people that could really use a smile (and a few that could perhaps learn to take a compliment)!

Group 1 vehemently argues about how playing with plastic bath toys is a fun and exhilarating activity for grown men to engage in.

Group 2 threatens to go postal if anyone looks at them, breathes their air, or gives them a rubber Duckie.

This is why I internet. 👍

Why on earth would someone who doesn't like it do it to someone else? Not everyone gets a smile from junk being left on their vehicle.

Can you cite this somewhere? Not seeing anyone in the thread arguing that this activity is 'exhilarating.' Also need sources on 1) jeeps being only for men, and not dads with kids or yknow, women. 2) setting a duck on a car=playing with toys.

Group 2 threatens to go postal if anyone looks at them, breathes their air, or gives them a rubber Duckie.

Both of these are facetious generalizations. The difference is you had to squint sideways and push the envelope to strawman the "ducks aren't a big deal" group to make it seem somewhat equally ridiculous to the "I'll kill you for touching my jeep" crowd, where one guy actually said he wished he was covered by defense of property laws.

Like, I get your point. The thread is ridiculous. But the sides aren't anywhere near equally ridiculous.

Late to the party! I don’t think he’s trying to equate the two. Just poking fun at two very different attitudes.

I’d prefer the ducking to the waving 🤷🏻‍♂️

Happy Fathers Day to all the Jeep Dad's ! Again my apologies for not biting my tongue and ruining this Thread.

Bright side today went to get donuts early today for the misses and I. Came back out and I'll be damned I received my first Rubicon Duck. I have to say perfect timing even if I never get ducked again.

There were no other autos there but next door was 7-11 store and that was busy.

So yes I smiled and didn't cry, didn't yell. didn't throw fit, didn't throw away, didn't run over it, didn't call mommy for pacifier, didn't punch fist in air yelling toward 7-11 who DID this !!!

I just gladly put my duck in Jeep and went home and proudly told the little lady I had my first Jeep Duck.

So let me nip @OVRLND in bud before his stupid humor comes in play. Stay A FLOAT my friend.

why would someone keep something they didn't like?

give it to someone else who might better appreciate it.
