Another vote here for the BOLT hood lock. Many advantages over the Mopar hood lock.

BOLT is about half the price of the Mopar lock
Instant keying to your Jeep key
You can remove the key in the unlocked position. I don't believe the Mopar lock allows this.
Does the BOLT lock work with the door key for a Keyless Ignition Jeep?

I found this out by accident when I popped the hood (was washing my Jeep) and the Jeep was locked and the alarm went off. About peed myself...LOL
Same lol. It's worse when you do it in the garage because of the echo.

If looking for a inexpensive, keep-honest-people-honest, this luggage lock will go through the center of the latch and out the side (Rubicon JL 2019) to prevent the latch from being opened. I put one on each side and set the combo the same. I protect it from the elements by wrapping the locks in a scrap of old BMX black bicycle innertube. Keeps the locks from scraping the fender and paint job. About a $20 solution. Easy to find at the Walmart, Target, Hardware Store. Hides well.
